NANS to Collaborate with Senator Barau Jibrin to boost Sports in Kano State.

NANS in collaboration with Senator Barau L Jibrin Representing Kano North will organize Kano state inter campus tertiary institutions football competition  2022.

The National Director of Sport of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS)  while  briefing Journalist in kano state  She said she commended the Senator for his love and concerns to Nigerian students .He is indeed a leader ,a Mentor, Philanthropist and Icon of hope to Nigerian Students. 

The sport tournament shall cut across all the Tertiary institutions in Kano state, the schools shall be competing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes with each standing a chance of winning an award. The first Prize will be Saloon Car, Second Prize is will be two motorcycles while the third Prize shall be one motorcycle 

The tournament will be declare open on 15 January 2022 at bayero university football pitch Kano State by the Senator Barau Jibrin. 

The National Director of sports Comrade Mardiya Na'Allah said they should continued to  unite Nigerian Students for Nation building, Peace and Progress of our dear country Nigeria. 

We shall always Appreciate gestures and the exemplary leadership of senator Barau Jibrin the man that has the Youths and the country at heart for the Pilar of Success and development.

The Nigerian students need leaders that support and encourage phases that assist humanity building targeted at Peace building and unity of the country at large.  He is among few leaders of today's generation that sacrifices their time and resources toward Empowerment and Educational development in Kano State and the nation.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
