Notice of Immediate Suspension from Office.
Dear Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu
It is with deep concern that we write to inform you of your suspension, effective immediately, from all NUYOSS membership rights, participation privileges, leadership roles, and access to all union resources.
This action is deemed necessary given alarming allegations and initial evidence signaling your engagement in unlawful attempts of bribery, blackmail, money laundering and undermining the independence of the ISEC Ethics Commission leadership.
Specifically, credible sources have revealed coordinated efforts orchestrated by you to force the resignation of acclaimed ISEC Chairman Mustapha A. Liman through inappropriate influence.
If proven accurate, such offenses represent utterly disgraceful breaches of ethics, legality and the fundamental moral standards which our union operates upon in representation of thousands of hard working members. They necessitate your comprehensive suspension for two (2) weeks until formal union and potential criminal investigations reach decisive conclusions. You are henceforth prohibited from all union premises, activities, meetings and communication channels pending outcome of ongoing fact-finding efforts.
In accordance with Chapter 2, Article VI, subsections (v) of the NUYOSS Constitution. "An officer may be suspended from office at the request of the 2/3 of the members of the executive Council.
You have two (2) days to submit any written statements or evidence to the SRA regarding these claims. We urge your full cooperation.
Additionally, as part of this suspension notice you are hereby directed to submit any and all union-owned property, assets, equipment, documents or other items previously entrusted to you for official purposes within 24 hours of receive of this letter.
Regretfully in solidarity,
Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa
Speaker of 31st Assembly
