Dankwambo/Amtai political feud, Group calls for quick Security interventions.

A Youths Socio-Political group known as North East Actions for Good Governance NEAGG condemned in strong terms an alleged attacked on the Residence of one comrade Amtai Ali Sa'idu in a suburb of Gombe, Gombe State.

In a statement signed by the group National Coordinator Comrade Mustapha Abdulkadir on Monday described the incident as regrettable and unfortunate.

According to the group,this development came after the victim himself accused the Senator Representing Gombe North of threatening him over his Facebook post on 19th December,2023.

As Nigerians who are governed by the constitution of the country,we see no reason why our political elites should be taken laws into their hands instead of approaching the courts.

It is no more a democracy long as the voice of the people will be under threat always,the security agencies must be awake in ensuring the lives and properties of the citizens are protected where Comrade Amtai is not an exception.

He is a former Governor of the state and now senator of the federal Republic of Nigeria Representing the good people of Gombe North. As a law maker,he understands better the rights of the citizens as entrenched in the Nigerian Constitution. 

As a Statesman,he should deploy other means of addressing this instead of threatening a citizen over political differences. Therefore,it is necessary that,the security agencies should take note and wave in to provide cover to the victim in question.They added.

Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC).
