Groups Endorsed Senator Modu Sheriff for APC National Chairman.

The Coalition of North East Youths for Change has described the former Governor of Borno State Senator Ali Modu Sheriff  as the only viable option for APC National Chairman scheduled to take place  next Month February. 

The Coverner of the Coalition of Alh. Abdullahi M. Kokari (KK oil & Gas) disclosed this in Bauchi during a Press Conference in an open declaration of support for Senator Modu Sheriff aspiration for the Office of National Chairman of the rulling All Progressive Congress.

Below is the full text briefing of the Press Conference.

We welcome you Once again to the city of Bauchi for this historic Press Conference in solidarity of one  the great sons of the North East that ever live in this region Distinguished Senator Ali Modu Sherriff the former Governor of  Borno State.

This Special gathering where we unleash the future of the rulling All Progressive Congress ahead of the party's National convention scheduled for February is aim at calling the attention of  the sons and daughters of the North East region on the urgent need to support the emergence of Senator Ali Modu Sherrif as the next National Chairman of our great party.

Gentlemen of the Press , ladies and gentlemen, We feel truly honoured by your presence to cover this event and tell the world Particularly the APC National delegates on the importance of shielding their differences to ensure that Senator Sheriff is supported been the most qualified among the contestants.

We are confident as a group under the auspices of the "Coalition of North East APC Youths for Change" that our common stands will open new pages of discussion in the Journey of restoring principles of good governance and Community Participatory democracy into the rulling party which depends on the decisions of our stakeholders and National delegates. Making the rulling APC viable and Politically strong is feasible if Senator Ali Sheriff is elected National Chairman.

We all converged to this hall today with a strong believe that our great party can be made better and our stand today will send a signal to our stakeholders to reason why Senator Modu remain the only viable candidate among his contemporaries.We want to see APC develop, prosper and become the pride of our nation democracy  though this depends on our choices in the next coming APC National convention.

As Youths and card carrying members of the rulling APC who laboured for this party since its formation in 2014,We must agreed that we are the answer because we have shown Commitment and passion towards ensuring we get what belong to us by taking action and by getting involve.

We therefore present to you Distinguished Senator Ali Modu Sherrif as a the face of productivity and Good Governance having served successfully as Governor of Borno State after serving the nation as a Senator of the Federal Republic. He was part of the formation of the current rulling party and he has over the years gannered all the requisite experience to make our party more relivant and important in the eyes of Nigerians Particularly in reconciling the aggrieved members.

He is a living Nigerian that has traveled to the length and breadth of Nigeria building the temples of Peace and Unity to keep his country together.He has moved around this country interacting with young Nigerians and this  among to many reasons why he is second to none among his  contemporaries.We are of the strong believe that only Senator Sheriff can bring the desirable changes knowing fully that he can settle the current crisis been experience and move this party forward.

In spite of the the challenges we face as a Party, We must know that the future of our party is fully represented if Senator Ali Modu Sherrif become the next National Chairman.Nigerians of our generation, who work tireless to earn a living, striving to make Nigeria a better place for themselves and their families, and who are entitled to retire in comfort are here.  We must accept the fact that sheriff  is  endowed with fresh ideas, bubbling energy and a passionate desire for change in the rulling APC.

In the face of current realities confronting our  great party, We need urgently a strong, dynamic, decisive, competent and visionary leadership that can halt the current drift of the ship of the party affairs to winning ways.Immediately after this Press conference,this coalition will begin consultations across the 6 Six Geopolitical zones to ensure that our message get across as we move to make the rulling All Progressive Congress more formidable and vast Political ship that will carry all Nigerians irrespective of tribes and religion to their destiny under Senator Ali Modu Sherrif Chairmanship.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
