Speaker Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria Rt. Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama was in the office of the new appointed Controller Nigerian customs Plateau State command Shan'anu Abubakar Umar (Cikeren Bauchi) .The speaker and his entourage was received this afternoon by the new controller and other top officers of the State command in customs house Jos.

The speaker while congratulating him on this new rank promised to support him and work with him closely been him one of the friend of the youths in Nigeria . As you can see the new Plateau State custom controller has done enough in ensuing that youths become self sufficient in Bauchi State where thousands has been benefitted from his goodwill and scholarships ,the speaker added .

I urge and pray for the current leadership of the Nigerian customs in Plateau State under your watch to carry the youths on the Plateau State along to ensure that our society and the nation at large is wipe out of drugs abuse .He said. The speaker was speaking in Jos shortly after his solidarity visits to the controller Nigerian Customs Plateau State command .

The custom controller Mr. Shan'unu M. Umar  thank the speaker and his entourage for the solidarity visit and assured them of doing more to ensure a society that can produce youths free of drugs abuse in Plateau State and the nation at large.He said.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
