As the #EndSARS campaign gain momentum and got the deserving attention by federal government of Nigeria by ending SARS unit in the Nigeria police force has given other groups to launch similar campaigns from the Northern part of the country . Many are calling for none violent method of protest to remain government of its co-functions and responsibilities to protect the lives of Nigerians.

The speaker of the Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria Rt. Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama has repeatedly call for SARS reforms instead of end SARS in a Press Conference he addressed in Bauchi last week that was widely circulated both on print and online media including most of the TV channels in Nigeria . The speaker emphasis remains that the federal government and inspector General of police to reform the existing police personal and equipped them with necessary weapons to fight crimes in Nigeria.

In a similar event today ,the Speaker while addressing news men in Jos said protest are means of expressing grievances to the government to address certain issues students are short fall off . The leadership of the NYAN under his watch are working out modalities to protest the massive and unending insecurity in the North from Banditry ,farmers-Herder clashes and Insurgency .

As someone who came from the North East region of the country ,I am in a better experience to tell stories and writes books of history as having suffered a lot in the hands of insurgency and kidnapping .We have lost worth billions of naira ,we have lost properties worth our businesses and thousands of lives . Rt. Hon. Ukkasha said it is high time we stand up to our feet as youths to protest this through none violent method of protest.

The insecurity in our region has brought down our economic activities and paralysis developmental projects.It is to register their dissatisfaction over how the war against insecurity was being handled with unseriousness. The group said the protest became necessary to remind the government and authorities concerns to wake up their responsibilities. I call on the federal government to empower the new SWAT with modern to do equipments to fight the kidnapers and the insurgents . He added.

The protesters were received at Government house by the permanent secretary Political affairs and later by the state commissioner of Police Gambo Jemeta at force command Bauchi State and all duo had promised to channels the youths grievances to the right channels for prompt action .

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
