DALORI CALLS FOR CALM AS PROTEST TURNS VIOLENT .From : Joel O.

The Borno State APC Chairman Hon Ali Bukar Dalori and Chairman of APC States Chairmen Forum has joined other well meaning Nigerians in calling for calm as the #endsars protest turned bloody. He said ,Nigerian youths has made a significant demands to end police brutality mainly ascribed to the scraped section of the Nigerian police Force. He made calls in Abuja while sharing his views with our correspondent Joy Osapato.

The Chairman calls for calm while urging the youths to be law abiding and their democratic right to protest must not be exercised in such a way that impedes the democratic right of other citizens to freedom of movement, expression and the liberty to pursue their livelihoods.

Hon. Dalori said the protests have forcefully demonstrated the power and the new energy of the young Nigerians to demand for reforms but advised them to channeled to strengthen, not weaken the country’s democracy. Surely, the country cannot remain the same after this.

He added ,The intent of the organizers of the protests is to achieve stated objectives on police reform, which the government has in principle accepted. It can certainly not be their motive to cause generalized anarchy or effect regime change and while calling for the youths to remain calm he urge the government to take necessary actions to protect the lives on innocent Nigerians.
