The national leadership of Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria under the Speakership of 
Rt.Hon. Ukkasha  Hamza Rahama GCNY has condemned in strong terms the attacked on the convoy of HE. Professor Babagana Umara Zullum the Executive governor of Borno State by suspected insurgents .

In a statement personally singed by the Speaker and made available to journalist in Abuja Sunday evening ,Rt. Hon. Rahama said ,it is very unfortunate that the Borno State Governor's life is becoming under treat despite his efforts in ending the lingering security challenges that denied so many developmental projects in Borno and the North East as a whole . 

Rt. Hon. Ukkasha said ,as a leader of one of the viable young organization in Nigeria and North in particular is urging the federal government to protect the life of the governor using all the security and military apparatus at their disposal.

The speaker in his conclusion said ,desperation by enemies of peace and humanity at large to jeopardise all efforts towards making life easier for victims of violence in the state over the years. We urge him not to be deterred as he keeps working with security agencies to protect the lives and property of the people,”he said.

He then prayed for the repose souls of the victims who lost their lives in the ugly incident and also pray to Almighty God to give their families and the nation to bear this irreplaceable lost.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
