Northern youths launched unity Forum to complement FG efforts fight against Security.

A group known as Arewa youths for peace and unity was unveiled in Kano aimed at bringing the entire youths of the North Together to fashion out ways on how to end the present Insecurity facing the Northern region .

The acting President of the group comrade Abdullahi Isah disclosed this shortly after their first meeting and he said the time to join hands with federal government and States government to find lasting solutions to the lingering crisis in the region is now. As you can see we have been battling with insurgents in the North ,farmers and herders conflict in the North Central and now banditry in the North West. We must begin to think outside the box in oder to defeat our enemies who are believed to among ourselves .

The president added that for long the northern region has failed work as a single entity to deal with it common enemy but rather some political elites has used us as tools ,they have divided us and we can all see how gradually we are destroying ourselves .We have table the names of three different prominent individuals to served as our grand patron who will serve as our guidance in running the activities of this group and to ensure that we don't breach the law of the land ,he added .

You were all there when members suggested that three names be summited to the newly inaugurated excos to recommend in our next meeting between Barr. Solomon Dalung ,Prof.Ango Abdullahi and Former Kaduna State Governor Balarabe Musa to serve as a patron .The selection was done base on credibility considering the fact that all have been the voice of the region amidst challenging periods . 

In his separate remarks ,the newly appointed Secretary Mr. Kefas Dauda who hailed from Taraba State has advocated to unity among members whereby religion and ethnic divide to work for better North and the nation at large. We hope and prayers are that anyone we select among these three nominees will support us to ensure that our advocacy reach the target goal .We will soon move to North East and North west to launch a similar movement aim at bringing all the youths of the north on a round table discussion to find and complement government efforts in restoring peace to our region. He concluded.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
