The Speaker Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria Rt. Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama has congratulates on the occasion of 60th years independence anniversary. He spoke today in Abuja in a round table discussion as part of the preparation for October 1st ,2020 Nigerian independent anniversary .

He described the celebration as a season of sober reflection and call on the Northern youths stand on their fights to help the governments at levels to combat crimes in the region that has been ravaged by kidnapping, farmers/herders clashes ,banditry and insurgency .He call on President Muhammadu Buhari to redeploy more securities in trouble areas to secure the country.

The speaker while praying for the nation to overcome its national challenges also call on the country's political elites to invest more on youths to gear them up for upcoming leadership roles in the future. He said 60 years after ,the future of the youths left by our founding fathers is not yet realistic as the only the old age are battling for political power leaving the youths at the mercy of God.

In his conclusion ,the speaker further call on the youths to stand up to the challenges of the 21st century of leadership to take over from the present leaders who has failed to in many ways to set the country on the pedestrian of success and excellence. Let us work beyond just followers to take active leadership position in the upcoming elections,I call on the youths in my home State of Bauchi to take the advantage of the forthcoming locals government and councillorship elections in the state to taste their strength of votes .he added .

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
