The leadership of Arewa youths for peace and unity has described the former Minister of youths and sports development Barrister Solomon Dalung as a symbol of national unity .The groups spoke through is Zonal coordinator North East zone Abdulrahman Kirfi in a media pally with Journalist in Gombe .

Kirfi said , Mr. Dalung’s foray into politics and ascendency to political office of minister of sports further tell the world about his humble background which testifies to the greatness and inclusiveness of Nigeria’s democracy, and serves as an invitation to all those with interest to add value to the nation.

The youths added that ,Nigeria will one day move to it peak of development despite the current challenges and this to the large extend will depend on the likes of Dalung .They described him as dog fighter who spent all his life in service to humanity and the nation which calls for his celebration having a successful life worthy of emulation 56 years after .

In their conclusion ,Kirfi said today ,we are celebrating him for standing with the truth at all times without compromise and his outstanding legacies earned many awards including the title of Garkuwan Arewa .We are proud to be associated with him as he marks his birthday and it should be a birthday for all of us as well as to thank God Almighty for blessing us with this noble man in a country like Nigeria. May Almighty God protect and give long life as he takes this giant step in life .they added.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
