Group petitioned IGP,call for arrest and prosecution of inspector Dalhatu,

A civil society group known as Coalition of Civil society Network has petitioned the inspector general of Police Kayode Egbetokun to investigate and Prosecute Inspector Dalhatu Hammawa Dauda.

In a letter signed by the group coordinator John Danladi and made available to newsmen in Abuja on Friday,calls for urgent arrest and prosecution for an alleged abused office and unprofessional misconduct.

They accused inspector Dalhatu of unauthorized sale of appointments and fraudulent activities in NATCOM and absconding from duty while ,he is been paid by the Federal Government as a serving Nigerian Police officer. 

The letter reads.





Subject: Urgent Petition to Investigate and Prosecute Inspector Dalhatu Hammawa Dauda



Dear Sir,

We, the concerned members of civil society network, write this petition with utmost urgency to bring to your attention the reckless and unofficial conduct of Inspector Dalhatu Hammawa Dauda. It has come to our attention that Inspector Dauda has been involved in activities that did not only tarnish the reputation of the police force but also defraud and mislead the general public.

Inspector Dauda has been engaging in the unauthorized sale of appointments and fraudulent activities in NATCOM, wherein he falsely presents himself as a senior director of the National Commission for the Coordination and Control of Proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NATCOM) and claim to be on secondmemt for over three years now for a commission that is yet to get a presidential assent,such actions not only undermine the integrity of law enforcement but also deceive innocent individuals who seek legitimate opportunities.

We earnestly implore you to initiate a thorough investigation into the activities of Inspector Dalhatu Hammawa Dauda and hold him accountable for his actions. We believe that a swift and transparent investigation will uphold the trust and confidence that the public places in the police force.

Furthermore,Mr.Dauda has long abconded himself from his official duties in the Nigerian police force and has been receiving monthly salary from the force , we urge you to ensure that appropriate legal actions are taken against Inspector Dauda in accordance with the law. It is imperative that those who engage in misconduct and fraudulent behavior are brought to justice to maintain the credibility of the police force.

In light of the seriousness of these allegations, we also request that Inspector Dalhatu Hammawa Dauda be removed from his police uniform pending the outcome of the investigation. This step is crucial to prevent any potential further harm and to ensure a fair and unbiased inquiry.

We trust in your commitment to upholding the rule of law and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism within the police force. Your swift and resolute action in this matter will not only restore public faith in law enforcement but also serve as a strong deterrent against similar misconduct in the future.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon.
