An Attempt to dislodge SE off the Presidency,A miscarriage of Justice.

A Northern Youths group known as Arewa Youths Advocate for Peace and Unity Initiative (AYAPUI) has described an attempt by some interest groups within the rulling All Progressive Congress to scuttle the chances of the South East Region to produce the next President of the Senate as inconsequential.

In a interview with some group of Journalist on Friday in Gombe ,the National President of the group Sani Mohammed said,this move is not healthy for the Peace and harmony of our nation where Justice,Fairness and equity are the root templates for Governance.

The South East should be enjoy the exclusive political rights of producing the next President of the Senate as a Means of dousing growing Political agitations for power balancing and inclusion by the region.

To me ,it is not late since the 10th National Assembly is yet to be inaugurated and it will be important that the President elect and the stakeholders to come in to ensure that the south East region stands in the race for Senate President.

The group also used the occasion to endorsed Senator Orji Urzo Kalu from Abia State as the President of the 10th Senate describing as a worthy son of the soil that has given it for for Nigeria as a former two governor, high ranking Senator and current Chip whip of the 9th Senate.

They also justified the votes won by the rulling All Progressive Congress from the south East region.What the south East did in the last election was because of the increasing Political attention of the rulling party to the South East region and decreasing active Participation and involvement of the region at the center.

The major reason why they massively supported their own was due to the lack of opportunity for the South East region to be at the Center from the two major Political Parties.

The incoming administration will no doubt inherits a divided Nigeria and the first healing Process is to give the South East the opportunity to produce the number three citizen of Which Senator Orji Kalu stands out.

We are good students of history,The South South had it owned shared when Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR was elected Vice And later President from the region. Apart From that, Senator Omo-Agege is the current Deputy Senate President.

It does not sound well and healthy for our baby democracy that want to bring the country that is deeply divided along religion, region and tribe together to zone the Senate Presidency to South South.

If it is by the game of numbers that counts then,the North deserves both the Senate Presidency and Speaker of the House of Representatives,the conversation is Fairness in the distribution of power because long as they is fear then perception is Reality.

Senator Orji Urzo Kalu was the first Prominent Politician that come bluntly from the South East region to defend the Muslim Muslim ticket at the time of the need and why will the party turn its back to this gesture.

We are planning to address a world Press Conference on this very important growing Political discussion especially the need to see Senator Orji Urzo Kalu as the excellent choice for this exalted seat. Everything about him is Nigerian identity,from his aides to his businesses and people around him.They Concluded.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
