ORCHESTRATED A SCHEME TO CHARACTER-ASSASSINATE A POPULAR APC ASPIRANT IN THE STATE.

We are compelled to draw the attention of the public, the good people of Kaduna state and, most especially, the security agencies in the state, on a calculated, insidious and unethical scheme being hatched to smear the personality of one of the leading and the most popular aspirant in the just concluded Kaduna state governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This despicable scheme is not limited to the destruction of the personality and character of this most popular aspirant, but is intended to stretch, if necessary, to the aspirant’s life and that of his family. 

Credible Intel available to us confirm that already a whooping sum of N50 million Naira has been set aside to finance the scheme. A serving member of the Kaduna state house of assembly who is said to be from Zaria, but believe to be relocated to Kaduna due to his unpopularity and uncertainty on his state of origin, is indicated to be the central character and coordinator of the scheme who is understood to be motivated by being penciled down by the sponsors of the scheme as the next Speaker of the Kaduna state house of assembly any time soon. 

The intel close to the aspirant’s campaign directorate confirms that this desperate move by the “CABAL” within the Kaduna state government is a fallout of the attempt by the CABAL to appease the popular aspirant in the governorship race with an offer of N2 BILLION. This attempted appeasement was meant to get him withdraw the petition he filed against the conduct of the party’s purported congresses as well as the primaries of which the CABAL believed to have scaled through the un-legitimate scheme. Fortunately, when this popular and most accepted aspirant refused to be transactional and stood on his principle of being in politics to promote human happiness and human dignity as well as amplify Justice and fair play, the CABAL got more desperate. 

It will be recalled that at the just concluded APC governorship primaries of Kaduna state, this leading and popular aspirant had complained of serial breaches of laid down procedures regarding the process, conduct and exercise of the primaries. In particular, it will be recalled that the CABAL in the state government had effectively manipulated the process of the delegates nomination to favour the government preferred candidate. In fact, over 3000 Supporters of the popular aspirant who were equally eligible delegates were effectively disenfranchised by denying them access to the election venue. Even the votes that this popular aspirant was able to get came from the delegates that were packaged for the government preferred candidate as all delegates from the popular candidate were blocked from the venue.  

Long before the APC primaries were held, the campaign directorate of this popular aspirant had noticed an obvious attempt by this very CABAL within the state government to manipulate the process beginning from the Congress right up to the primary election. But the popular aspirant went ahead to participate in the primaries to have basis for complaints in the event that the scheming by the CABAL went through. The APC guidelines have stipulated that complaints can only be entertained from an aspirant that participated in the primaries. 

This is an attack, not only on the person and personality of this popular aspirant, but also on democracy and democratic norms. The general public, all democratic institutions and the security agencies should be on the alert, as we will keep you updated.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu.
