Group threatens Legal action If Nguroje decline their demand to run for Senate.

A group known as "Taraba Central People's Assembly has described the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Babangida Nguroje as the only man standing to salvage the People of Taraba Central Senatorial District in the next coming elections.

Briefing journalist on Saturday in Jalingo shortly after their extraordinary Executive meeting,The Chairman and Secretary of the Group Rev. Aloysius Franci and Bashar Yunusa said the meeting become necessary considering the increasing demand for Good Governance in the country particularly Taraba Central Senatorial District.

Bellow is the communique issued; 

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED OUT AT THE END OF OUR 3RD POLITICAL SUMMIT WHICH WAS HELD IN JALINGO, THE CAPITAL OF TARABA STATE ON THE 9th, April,2022.

Arising from our extra-executive emergency meeting at the ancient city of *Jalingo* where the state of our senatorial zone was x-ray and critically digested ranging from;Security,Youths and Women empowerment,Politics,Health and other social amenities and Agriculture.


The Meeting was to view, advice and set a political cum democratic agenda that would  position our dear senatorial zone on the speed lane towards bringing the dividend of democracy to the door step of our people through security, economy prosperity and political stability, The National Executive Council of TARABA CENTRAL PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY are of the strong view that the 2023 general election must not come and go without their active participation and input.

Consequently, the Taraba Central People's Assembly have resolved thus:

1. Though we are not a political party nor a political organisation neither do we share any political sentiment, but as the popular saying goes, "human being is by nature a political animal" and therefore, we can not afford to fold our hands and watch our destinies and that of our people heading to a doom.

2. The TARABA CENTRAL PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY have commended and appreciated the contributions made by Sen. Yusuf A. Yusuf but suggest that the Senatorial zone deserves someone who will build upon the contributions made by Sen Yusuf A. Yusuf.


3. The TARABA CENTRAL PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY believes that only a Politician that has been tested and have performed wonderfully well is good enough to take over the enormous task of representing the zone in the senate come 2023

4. The TARABA CENTRAL PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY have embarked on a serious social research and due consultation with a view to finding the best Man for the job come 2023

5. After four months of research and consultation, The TARABA CENTRAL PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY have submitted her report as follows:

A. Without any political and religious sentiments, we have made to understand that the Taraba Central Senatorial Zone is blessed with qualitative decent Democrat in Person of His Excellency, RT. Hon. Babangida SM Nguroje, the former Deputy Speaker Federal House Of Representatives.

Hon. Babangida S.M Nguroje was born on the 8th of February, 1971 in Nguroje, Sardauna local government area of Taraba State and has credibly represented the good people of Kurmi, Gashaka, and Sardauna Federal Constituency of Taraba State between 2003 to 2011.

B.  The TARABA CENTRAL PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY have agreed to call on Babangida SM Nguroje to please come and represent us at the National Assembly come 2023.

C. The TARABA CENTRAL PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY have given Babangida SM Nguroje *one(1) week* to respond to this Clarion Call and declare to contest otherwise The TARABA CENTRAL PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY would take both legal and traditional actions against him.

D. The TARABA CENTRAL PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY would mobilise both human and financial resources to support this noble cause. For instance, the TARABA CENTRAL PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY would contribute money to buy Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms for BABANGIDA SM Nguroje should he agreed to respond positively to this Clarion Call

E. The TARABA CENTRAL PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY have already constituted a campaign Organisation on behalf of Babangida SM Nguroje named "BABANGIDA SM NGUROJE SUPPORT GROUP" to be inaugurated today, the *10th,* April 2022

F. We are going to do all this and more simply because "Rt. Hon Babangida is not only a useful and active Youth that has touched so many lives irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliation, but he is equally competent and credible to represent us in the senate and to drag development to our zone especially in this present challenging time that our nation is in dare need of loyal, credible, honest and dedicated Leaders with genuine love for the people. It is in the light of the above that we have passed a VOTE OF CONFIDENCE on Babangida Nguroje as a credible and competent fellow.  Haven he served the people of Taraba State in the green chamber and has performed wonderfully well, we believe he will do more and well if given further responsibility of this nature".

G. A five thousand Men Match at NGUROJE, the ancestral home of Babangida SM NGUROJE to formerly present our intention

CALL ON BABANGIDA S..M NGUROJE:

By this resolutions, we wish to appeal to Babangida S.M Nguroje to sacrifice his comfort and kindly step out to rescue our people from abject poverty and shackles of under- development

CALL ON OUR STAKEHOLDERS:

We humbly wish to use this medium to appeal to our Leaders and stakeholders to give this project their maximum support and encouragement. Also may our Leaders help in contributing their voices in putting pressure on Babangida SM Nguroje to accept this Clarion Call.

Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC).
