Jotisanga Toro Unity Cup ends as Coverner of the Peace Tournament Engr. Sanga Marks 50th birthday.

The Jotisanga Toro Unity Cup aimed at promoting Peace and Unity of Toro Local Government has ended in a grand style at the Council Mini Stadium on Saturday the 25h December,2021.

The event has in attendance the paramount Ruler of Lame District Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu Lame (Sarkin Yakin Bauchi) Hakimi Kasar Lame ,Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development Adamu Manu Soro and Many high and mighty  of Toro and the State at large.

The tournament is organised by the Director General Bauchi State Public Procurement Bureau Engr. Joshua Titus Sanga FNSE in his efforts to the Youths and the Government in a close romance. 

One interesting and unique content of this year final of the tournament was the cutting of the 50th birthday anniversary cake of Sanga which attracted momour crowd of supporters and we'll wishers within and outside Toro Local Government.

Our correspondent gathered that many Youths who attended the event and those who watch from a distance through media platforms has continued to add their voice on the need to shun politics of tribes and religion to have a credible leadership that will gives us jobs, Security and welfare.

According Usman Haruna Tilde, a strong youths leader described Sanga as the best material to change the current Youths misfortunes in Toro and call for the People Democratic Party Stakeholders to support his candidature. 

He said , Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON (kauran Bauchi) in his wisdom has done remarkably well by discovering and appointing him to serve as Director General Bauchi State Public Procurement Bureau.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
