The Bauchi State Bureau of  Public Procurement is conducting a week training for civil Servants across Ministries , Departments and Agencies for certification to enable them change from their core cadre to Procurement for  effective Service Delivery.

The workshop draws fifty three Participants (53) from different Ministries, Departments and Agencies is funded by USAID State Accountability, transparency and effectiveness State to State activity. The event currently taking place Hazibal Event Center Yelwa Road Bauchi.

The training/Workshop was declared open by the Alhaji Yahuza Adamu Haruna said Procurement is a serious  business in public Service that help in blocking lickages and Developing local competencies that can compete with their counterparts across the globe.

Alhaji Yahuza urged the Participants to justify their selection and place the State Government Commitment in ensuring the fulfillment of obligations signed with Development partners to achieve its desire objectives.

The Director General of the Bauchi State Bureau for public Procurement Engr. Joshua Titus Sanga FNSE said the training is aimed at equipping the Participants with the Procurement processes for effective management of Government Resources.

He further stressed that ,The Participants are expected to have knowledge on three areas of the procurement processes supply,works and award of contracts. 

The Bauchi State team leader of State to State Mrs Rabi Ekele in her remarks said , Procurement is key component in public Service hence the resolve d to select and train the civil Servants for easy convergence and certification to the procurement cadre.

She also assured the state Government to sustain the partnership aim at enhancing accountability, Transparency and effectiveness in all Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

Speaking during the event the Director Registration, Database and ICT Bureau for public Procurement Abuja Mr Aliyu Aliyu expressed his confidence that after the training the Participants will have the best to deliver in the areas of their primary assignments.

The Director General Bauchi State Bureau of Public Procurement Engr. Joshua Titus Sanga FNSE used the occasion to thank His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON (kauran Bauchi) for his Continues support to the Bureau in Performance of our constitutional role. He concluded.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
