Rt.Hon. Bamisile bagged National Excellent Award from Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria.

The Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria NYAN has honoured Rt.Hon.Richard Olufemi Bamisile Former Speaker Ekiti State House of Assembly and
Federal House of Representatives Ekiti South II Constituency in the 9th National Assembly.

He was awarded the as the most friendly Southerner of the Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria for his free access and hands of friendship to the North making him a Nationalist.

Speaking during the event that has in attendance many dignateries across the length and breadth of Nigeria, The outgoing Speaker of NYAN Rt. Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama  described Bamisile as a Nigerian that words alone cannot describe.

This is a man who served as a the Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly ,well experienced legislator and currently a Federal law maker and his relationship with the North  Particularly the Youths Constituency in Nigeria are the reasons that earned him this award.

We call on other well meaning Nigerians to emulate the goodwill and gestures of this humble personality who gave it all for the unity of Nigeria to strive. We shall continue to work very closely with him in ensuring that as youths we build bridges of Peace and Unity of Nigeria irrespective of regions and tribal identity.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
