The Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria has honoured the immediate past Chief of Air Staff Air Vice Marshall Sadique Baba Abubakar as the NYAN most outstanding Service Officer and Youths Empowerment Officer.

The honoured is an Honoured of recognition of his selfless service to the country in different capacities Particularly when he served as Chief of Air Staff of the Nigerian Airforce. The changes he brought into the Nigerian Airforce has tremendously assisted in crime reduction.

The outgoing Speaker of the Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria Rt. Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama described the award as long overdue having served meretriciously and this kind of personalities deserve more than just an award of this nature.

The newly Inaugurated Speaker of the Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria Rt.Hon. Ibrahim Mohammed Lawal described the former Chief of Air Staff as the best the nation has ever produced in the Nigerian Airforce. He said ,this award is meant to encourage the gallant officer for his relentless Service to humanity and the nation.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
