Mohammed Umar named the Most Outstanding Controller by Northern Youths Assembly.

The Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria has recognised the Bauchi born Area controller of Customs incharge of Plateau,Benue and Nasarawa State Mohammed A.Umar for his relentless Service to humanity and the nation.

The outgoing Speaker of the Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria Rt.Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama who spoke during the events in Abuja described the Custom Officer as a philanthropist and a man who gave all for the youths to flourish.

He has dedicated his life in service to the nation and humanity as countless number of youths and students are benificiaries of his empowerment and scholarships in Bauchi State,the North and the country at large.The event which took place in Abuja as part of the Northern Youths Assembly 3rd inauguration which took placed in Abuja.

The outgoing Speaker who received the award on behalf of Chikaren Bauchi described him as a rallying point for the Youths in Nigeria Particularly in the North. He thank the leadership of the NYAN for finding their fellow son from Bauchi for this exolted service award.


The Custom officer holds the title of Chikaren Bauchi currently in charge of Plateau State command has consistently and repeatedly extended this goodwill to the good people of Bauchi State particularly the downtrodden.The lives and times of Mohammed A. Umar has been placed on high esteem to many upcoming generations of Bauchi State and the country at large because of his philanthropic nature that earned him huge respect.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
