The etymological origins of the term democracy hint at a number of urgent problems that go far beyond semantic issues. If a government of the people ,for the people and by the people must be popular then the dominant question always is those who formed the Majority.A system in which people have the opportunity of accepting or rejecting their leaders through a competitive electoral process.

The history of democracy in Nigeria is not complete without mentioning Bauchi State that produced the first and the only Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria late Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa of blessed memory. He is among few Nigerians that left behind lasting legacies as their names are still mention per second per second by the current generations.Many are born since the demised of the Prime Minister as the likes of Bala Mohammed the Executive Governor of Bauchi State and Honourable Commissioner for local Government and Chieftancy affairs Hon. Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki. 

Since the return of the fourth Republic in 1999 ,Nigeria and Bauchi State in particular has been battling with representation inefficiency making it practically impossible for the nation and the State to grow to the expectations of the electorates.The emergence of Former Senator Bauchi South ,Former Minister of the Federal Capital territory Abuja and currently the architect of the modern Bauchi State Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON (kauran Bauchi) has restored hopes of the electorates that the resurgence of the current People Democratic Party led Government in Bauchi is the best that comes their way.

Bauchians will recall the dogmatic courage and stands of few among its who fought tooth and nail to restore back the Government of Senator Bala Mohammed as the Executive Governor. Today , We are celebrating the goodwill and outstanding sacrifices of the likes of Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki, a grassroot Politician who starred like the Executive Governor of Yobe State as a councilor of his ward and later an Executive Chairman of Warji Local Government. He was elected member Representating Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency and currently Hon. Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftancy affairs.

His inauguration to lead Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed Vanguard (BAM-V) as Chairman of Bot of Trustees is a step in a right direction.A group advocating for the Executive Governor of Bauchi State to contest the 2023 Presidency under the platform of the People Democratic Party is a clear indication that the reputable gentleman Nuhu Zaki is a leader born to serve. Here is a man whose trajectory in Bauchi Political arena has so far been defined by sense of commitment, loyalty to constituted order, discipline, selflessness, team spirit and sound inter-personal relationship.

Not a few people from the State, most of whom are high profile Political elites in Bauchi State stretched their necks to read from the rich curriculum vitae of Zaki to catch a glimpse of him as he continue to move in this radar along His Excellency the Executive Governor of Bauchi State to change the bad narratives.Few of those whose path had crossed with the Political guru of Bauchi Central Senatorial District will definitely tell you that they were in no way surprised to see his name in the pantheon of the celebrated as the best so far performing Member of Bauchi State Executive Council.

On account of his stewardship as the Honourable Commissioner Ministry for Local Government and Chieftancy affairs is featured by courage, steadfastness and leadership ability, millions of people in Bauchi and environs are able to sleep soundly due to consistent stand of their begotten son Nuhu Zaki in the face of changing the face of Politics in Bauchi State. His second return as a member of the Kauran Bauchi cabinet has spoke in high volume his uniqueness as a man of reputes and a leader all are clamouring for in the next Political dispensation to lead them as a Senator Representating Bauchi Central.

The daring and relentless efforts of Zaki remain forever in history of the struggles that usher in the administration of our dear leader Kauran Bauchi and the Jagaban of Katagum. His inauguration in 2019 laid the foundation for the emergence of beautiful palaces in and around the city of Bauchi. His area of responsibility to a large extent has stabilized the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftancy affairs and even if there have been one or two hiccups in recent past.

What makes Zaki most exceptional is his ability to blend the kinetic prowess of his Ministry with the ability of winning the hearts and minds of the people of the good people of Bauchi State.It was Sun Tzu the Chinese General, Political strategist and philosopher who described a successful commander as that who is ruthless in the field of operation yet meek at heart with members of the community where he was deployed. Zaki has mastered that Political leadership skill. Accounts of his qualities streaks of conquests of the hearts of the good people of Bauchi State Particularly that of Bauchi Central Senatorial District whose greatest wish had always been to breath good governance after decades of neglects.

Hon.Nuhu Zaki is a very much known personality to the People in his area of responsibility just as his numerous charity works in the communities where he held from are still in the hearts of members of the public.He knows that the cooperation and understanding of locals in the communities as someone who has the fortunes of interaction with the locals.Resources under his supervision are deployed at utmost importance and at the time of the needs which make him the most populous and rare germ currently at the corridors of power in Bauchi State.

As a Politician that has won the hearts of the people and more importantly he has the emotional intelligence to appreciate the fact that folks who are caught up in the attritional  warfare during the most trabulent period of PDP in Bauchi State in and at the aftermath of the 2019 Governorship showdown deserve empathy. His show of kindness and love to the good people of the State little wonder he strived to maintain emotional connection with the people and communities since assuming office.

As an exceptional manager of men and resources, the Bauchi iron breed of Politician has showed proficiency in maintenance culture. He renovated and constructed many bridges,Palaces and has consistently provides interventions to ease the burden been face by the people of the State in different capacities and fields of Human endavors.Furtherance of his Staff's welfare and in recognition of their spiritual needs, renovated  many places of worship across the State as a devoted Muslim.

All these are recollections of Zaki’s ingenuity, pragmatism and formidable leadership traits. His uncommon display of hard work, dedication and commitment in the discharge of his duties are pointers that he has indeed carved a niche for himself as an all-round Political Officer holder with exemplary leadership qualities that are worthy of emulation. His uncompromising quality of leadership has today showcase him in the eyes of the world Particularly the Bauchi State and making him a better person to advance the course of the current giant strides of Senator Bala Mohammed should he emerge as the next Presidential candidate under the Umbrella of People Democratic Party.
