Leadership in Nigeria has become a Parrot cry not only to the Governed but to the Government itself. Since the exit of the leaders of the first Republic,the likes of Sardauna of Sokoto Sir Ahmadu Bello ,Nandi Azikwe, Awolowo and their likes the country is battling to fix leadership Problems. Ethnicity , religion and regional bigotries has continued to be the Caucasian to the emergence of leadership in Nigeria.

Gombe State will soon celebrates its 25th birthday though still battling with representation unbalances since creation in 1996 by late General Sani Abacha of blessed memory. Gombawa as it is widely call by the people of the North is been blessed with great sons and daughters that are doing well in Service to humanity both at home and abroad. The likes of Amina Mohammed UN Deputy Secretary General,Abu Hashidu of blessed memory, the former accountant General of the Federation and former Governor Dankwambo , Muhammadu Inuwa the current Governor,former Governor Mohammed Danjuma Goje and Former Minister of Transportation Abdullahi Idris Umar.

A leaders with refined Character who's achievements are read per second in Gombe State and Nigeria at large was born 28th December,1959 .He received his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hon.) Degree.He preceded to the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos and was called to the Bar as trained Lawyer. He is very rich with so much Political experience since the return of the fourth Republic. He was appointed State Counsel to the Ministry Of Justice, Bauchi. He was elected to the House Of Representatives in 1999, and was re-elected in 2003 and later Senator in 2007 Gombe Central.

He was a chairman committees on Air Force, Federal Capital Territory, Finance and Judiciary and Human Rights & Legal Matters.As chairman of the Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Food Crisis, he visited the controversial Kafin Zaki Dam site in April 2009 and endorsed the dam's construction.  
He was appointed as the Minister of transportation in the  2011 by former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan after the death of President Umaru Musa yar’adua.

As a transport Minister Abdullahi Idris Umar has done remarkably well to remodeled the nation transport Sector and till this moment the impact he created as minister is much alive. He is a man of principles that priotised always the service of his people above his own personal interest. He has left office since 2015 but he is still alive Politically because of his stands with the people he always represents any opportunity before him belong to the People of Gombe State. These are few among to many of Idris Umar as a biggoten son of Gombe as he set for Governorship showdown in 2023. 

The Youths of Gombe State,it is a time for your think beyond your nose of Politics and differences to advance this very course of making Gombe a better place for our unborn generations as the above mentioned personality has all it takes to make Gombe a pride for the North East and the country at large. It has been said that information is power and with the era of social media platforms ,the Advocacy of changing the narratives will be articulated as soon as possible.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. They statement barred the suspended President from the premises of the Union untill further directives while investigations are ongoing for the period of two weeks which the said leadership will issue further directives on the matter in question. Plateau North Re-rerun: Parties await Tribunal Judgement

By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
