North Political Office holders to many without impact; North East NANS Stakeholders Forum.

The North East NANS Stakeholders Forum has barates the Political office holders in the North East region describing them as to many but without an impact.It is quite opportunate that our Leaders in the North East does not care for the downtrodden and development of the North East region. The Statement was issued in Bauchi by the Spokesman of the Forum Prince Mohammed Sani Hassan.

It is an unarguable discussion that the North East region enjoys the highest number of public service both at the State and  at the Federal Government.
We have Political leaders, top civil servants , successful business men, Ministers , Senators including the President of the Nigerian Senate and they all came from the six States that make up the North East zone.

It is expected that they are will use their offices honestly and deligently to give room for the teaming unemployed Youths as one of the factors that gave rise to current Insurgency in the region. It is unfortunate to not that even the recent esterblished North East Development Commission by President Muhammadu Buhari to curb this menace almost all those employed in the Commission are sons of the same Political elites.

We are using this medium to express our disappointment to most of our sons serving in different capacities of Government even though few of them are keeping to the faiths of the downtrodden. We have seen massive improvement of Governance in Borno State under the able leadership of Professor Babagana Umara Zullum, The Guidance and Counseling Board is one of the sectors that are holding the plight of the our Youths in Borno State and beyond.The Minister of Communication and Digital Economy Sheirk Dr. Isa Ali Pantami has done remarkably well by changing the face of our technology making to compete with the global best practice and by seeking employment to countless of our fellow Youths in the North East region.

This is happening at the time the region is in dear need of rebuilding and reconstructions for been one of the region that so far from Infrastructural deficit due to the Boko Haram Insurgency. Our infrastructures such as roads , we don't have railways and to many to mention and it clearly that most  of this appointees has wasted our slots. The high and Mighty are from the North East ,The SGF,CG Customs,IGP of Police, President of the Nigerian Senate and more their kind yet there is no impact of their presence.

This is what prompted this Press release at this very time because it is clear that we have been abandoned by our leaders. It is on this note that on our part as North East NANS Stakeholders Forum,We are summoning an emergency meeting to discuss the way forward ahead of the 2023 elections to brainstorm on issues currently holding the region to ransom. It is clear that some of the appointees has failed woefully in their responsibilities and it is high Mr President show them the way. 

We shall call for the forum stakeholders meeting soon within this month of September to decide for the way forward for our zone coming 2023 and the issues bring down our zone back. We call on the president Muhammadu Buhari to declare operation non nonsense on his cabinet and force then do the needful for the betterment of our country. We will make sure that in the next elections credible hands are supported to occupy sensitive positions to assist in Changing our ugly narratives. They Said.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. They statement barred the suspended President from the premises of the Union untill further directives while investigations are ongoing for the period of two weeks which the said leadership will issue further directives on the matter in question. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
