The National Director of Administration and Strategy of National Association of Nigerian Students NANS Prince Mohammed Sani Hassan has call on the National University Commission to take urgent measures to review Some of the University degrees by Nigerians abroad.

In a Statement signed and made available to journalist in Bauchi on Tuesday described as unfortunate the tourist Students who earned University degrees within a year or less while their counterparts spent an minimum of four academic calendar to earn a certificate of the same status.

As leaders of Nigerian Students in Nigeria, We shall always stand no matter what to ensure that the best is done and obtain. They have turned their Universities to business enterprises because even in the UK and USA one must spend alreast three  calendar years for a University degree.

There is need for NUC to regulate the activities of ESTAM University and other Universities in  Cotonou even if its means to for them to be  sanction to protect the image of our own very degree awarding Institutions in Nigeria. The increase in the number of these University degrees from ESTAM and Cotonou in General are alarming hence the urgent need for action.

Majority of students running away from Nigeria university to  ESTAM university and return  within Short Period of some months with such University degrees calls for urgent Government action and the National University Commission in Particular.

We are happy that the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) has started rejecting some of these degree certificates by denying the right to participate in the one year Mandatory Service year. The Governor of Kaduna State has taken similar measures during the recent recruitment excercise by creating a Platform for such graduands to sit for an exams/aptitude test equivalent to the Nigerian University graduands surprisingly many of them failed woefully.
