The Speaker Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria Rt. Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama has Condemed in strong terms the renewed ecthnic violence in Plateau State saying it is Barbaric and uncivilised. We should not allow sentiments of tribes and religion to tear us apart.

The speaker made this Known today in Bauchi while reacting to the ugly Saturday incident that killed scores of innocent travellers in an Outskirts of Jos North Local Government of Plateau State.

He said at the time Government, Security agencies,Youths groups and traditional institutions are putting their head together to find the lasting peace, other Criminals find joy in killings their fellow brothers.

I commend the switch action of the Governor of Plateau State Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong and the Security agencies to restore peace and order in the tin city of Jos that has witnessed this ugly incidents in the last 20 years.

The Speaker call on the Security agencies and State Government to ensure the perpetrators who of this evil are not allow to go free to serve as detriment to others Criminals. He Said.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
