Alhaji Kabiru Shehu named Peace Ambassador in Plateau State.

The leadership of Arewa Youth Advocate for Peace and Unity Initiative has awarded Alhaji Kabiru Shehu Chairman Metals Reciculers Dealers Association Plateau State Chapter as with an Icon of Humanitarian Services in Plateau State. 

The leadership of the Youths organization was led by it National President Sani Danaudi Mohammed in companied of the Chief of Staff, Plateau State Coordinator Sodan Ajala Useni, National Director Women associations Blessing Ngoyo and  Plateau North coordinator Gyang Ayuba.

The even which took place in Enamel Ware Hall (Iyan Kwano) in the popular Laranto Market of Jos.The President described Alhaji Kabiru Shehu as a rare germ and a Philanthropist who's sacrifices has touches the lives of many within Jos and environs. 

The Chairman Metals Reciculers Dealers Association Plateau State Chapter was also decorated with an emblem as Peace Ambassador and member Advisory Council of the organization in Plateau State by the President.

The event was also featured with the opening of the Office of Laranto Peace Movement donated by Sadiq Plaza aim at combatting crimes and criminality in the community. 

Hon. Dr. Lenkop a gobernotorial aspirant in Plateau State in his response described Alhaji Kabiru as a a man of the People. He is one among to many that I know that has given it all for humanity and peace to strive on the Plateau. We thank you for recognising him to add to his archives of many award of this nature. 

Hon. Dr. Lenkop call on the Youths to continue to support the Government at to restore Peace in the country at the sametime blamed the Political Office holders for not doing the necessary by not carrying the Youths along. He donated the sum of  100 thousand to support the Peace Movement to procure chairs and other items.

Major Saleh Yusuf Rtd. call for more Youths empowerment in order to be self sufficient and become employers of labour instead of job seekers. He donated the sum of 50 thousand to facilitate the smooth operation of the Laranto Peace Movement office.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. They statement barred the suspended President from the premises of the Union untill further directives while investigations are ongoing for the period of two weeks which the said leadership will issue further directives on the matter in question. Plateau North Re-rerun: Parties await Tribunal Judgement

By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
