Nigerian Students Parliament (NSP) Honored Hon. Prince Abba Kawu in Maiduguri.

The speaker Nigerian Students Parliament Rt.Hon. Abdullahi Alhaji Maidoki honored Hon.Prince Abba Kawu the special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs to his excellency the executive Governor of Borno state Baba Gana Umara Zulum at the Shehun Barno palace yesterday Tuesday 20th April 2021 

Speaker Abdullahi Alhaji Maidoki describe Hon.Prince Abba Kawu as a Philanthropist and exemplary leader,he said the parliament aggreed to honored him because of his dedication and commitment to youths development and Students empowerment in Borno State and also for his selfless service to humanity.

He said Abba Kawu is indeed a leader with capacity, an icon of hope to the less privileged, the parliament shall continued to patronize him and will always stands with him considering his outstanding sacrifices to nation building and Borno State in particular. He on the good people of Borno State to rally round this noble gentleman for more positive feedback in governance particularly at the Local Governments.

He also called other stakeholders in Borno State to emulate the goodwill and gestures of Abba Kawu for the betterment,Unity and Progress of Borno state. The member of Board of trustees of the Parliament Prince Mohammed Sani Hassan fny also described Prince Abba Kawu as an exemplary leader and he is indeed and icon of transformation because of the hope and confidence we have on him and his leadership style is worthy of emulation by all and sundry.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
