Bappare calls for immediate Sack of ALGON National Chairman: From: John Ishaya

The National convener Ambassador Bappare Mohammed has demanded the immediate removal of the Hon. Kolade David Alabi from as the Chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria  ALGON was a breached of Constitutional process. The Coverner described the crisis rocking the leadership of ALGON in Nigeria will truncate the efforts of the National Assembly and President Muhammadu Buhari commitment of returning the power of Governance at the grassroots through local Government autonomy.

Ambassador Bappare further described the incident as regrettable which is culpable of truncating the ongoing efforts of the 9th National Assembly to passed the Local Government autonomy into law. According to him, Hon.Alabi is 
no longer the the ALGON Chairman but his resistance to vacate the seat is capable of distroying the long awaited dreamt of Local Governments to get their independence from States.The pursuit of the Local autonomy should with this development will continue to be an illusion and it is only when this internal rangling are resolve they will never get it right.

He described the incident as regrettable and unfortunate while urging the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari GCFR to weigh into this crisis in order to pave way for Unity and harmony local Governments in Nigeria .Mr President is a very committed Nigerian who has remain resolute in ensuring that always the rule of law prevails.The only solution to this face off is for the Mr President to weight in and let Alabi go for peace to reign by allowing fresh leadership.he added.

I am using this medium to call on the stakeholders particularly the Executive Governsrs to as a matter of urgency weigh into this abused of power and breach of trust by exhibited by the suspended ALGON Chairman to stop parading himself as the Chairman of ALGON and should continue then the law should be allow to take its course.This is a man who was Constitutionally removed from office and yet is still parading himself as the Chairman which may likely cause the local Governments another great opportunity to achieve it long plan of Local Government autonomy.He concluded.
