Babajide A.Balogun bagged ECOWAS Youths Parliament Ambassadorial award.

The Ecowas Youths Parliament (EYP) has decorated Ambassador Babajide A.Balogun in Ecowas hall of fame as Ecowas Ambassador in Abuja which took place during an extraordinary induction/ investigation ceremony. In a brief chat with our correspondent John Isaac in Abuja shortly after the event, The clerk and the Ambassadorial nominee made the following submissions.

The Clerk of the parliament, Comrade Zakari Hashim, CNS while in maiden address described Ambassador Babajide A.Balogun as an outstanding philanthropist in societal transformation whose life has been very instrumental to the Nigerian youths and sub-saharan Africa making the ECOWAS member States and the continent at large.

He said the nomination of Ambassador Babajide A.Balogun did not came to them as a surprise because of his good track records of antecedents in community development, human capacity building, educational and youth empowerment programs that has impacted positively on the lives of the Youths in the member States.

Comrade Hashim while Congratulating the recipient, used the occasion to call on him to continue with this Philanthropic activities particularly the Medical outreach, Educational support to vulnerable children and mentorship for youth inclusiveness in Governance and Nation building. 

Ambassador Babajide A.Balogun in his acceptance speech, appreciated the parliament for finding him worthy and decorating him into the Ecowas Hall of Fame. _He said that his nomination will encourage him to do more in serving humanity because it has been his manta to make a strong positive impact wherever he finds himself.

I never thought to bring my charitable deeds into public domain until a few close friends and mentors had drawn my attention to the fact that publishing activities of my foundation will motivate and encourage others to emulate these gestures”. I was encouraged and then decided to register the BB foundation as a Non-governmental organization to formally render humanitarian services to communities and venerable Nigerians as well as ECOWAS member States as necessary.”  He concluded.
