Association of Nigerian females Students launched gender based violence Campaign in Akwa-Ibom.From: John Eze.
The association of Nigerian females Students has today carried out a Sensitisation excercise in Akwa-Ibom State. The program is aimed at creating awareness to the teaming young females Students in the state with some selected Secondary Schools as the prime targets and to ensure that the students observe and respect all guidelines of covig-19 to reduce the risk of contacting and reduce the spread of the virus.
The program kicked Started today in the city of Uyo the Akwa-Ibom State capital by the Coordinator of Association Nigerian females Students (ANFS) Comrade Mfonobong Umoh who led other members of the Executives to Ernest Commercial Secondary School Uyo and Christian Secondary School. She disclosed this while interacting with our correspondent John Eze shortly after touring some selected Secondary Schools in the State, We are working in partnership with Pan African Students League (PASL) to ensure that innocent students does not suffer abuse as a result of the increasing gender based violence against females Students.

The Secretary General Comrade Emediong Dickson ,The assistant Secretary Comrade Miracle Maduoko,The Treasurer Comrade kindness Udeme and The media Director Comrade Ekaete Evans where they distributed items worth thousands of naira such as free Nose masks ,laundry soaps ,running water bucket and washing pails all aimed at easing the hardship been face by these students during and after this covig-19 pandemic.

in her separate contribution said ,We are declaring this program open today and we are starting with few Secondary Schools within the State capital as to test run and carry a Pilot survey by accessing the primary needs and the most challenges confronting our members particularly these young students while in School. She said ,You journalist has a lot to do to save the females Students from this senseless gender based violence that has been on the increase despite the campaigns .
Comrade Umoh also said that ,the task of Protecting the lives of the females Students in Nigeria is now our soul responsibility and we are working hand in hand with other relevant stakeholders in achieving this great task as leaders of these future mothers of which as a Journalist has a critical role to play.I am assuring by next week ,we shall be organising more of this events to cover other part of the States while my fellow colleagues in other states through our National President Comrade Sylvia Sarki are preparing similar template.
