The Arewa Youth Advocate For Peace and Unity Initiative known as AYAPUI has today pamage homage to a reknown Nigerian Scholar Sheikh Ibrahim Mohammed Duguri (Sarkin Malaman Duguri) at his Residence in Bauchi and appointed him Chairman of Advisory Council Of The Organization in Bauchi State as part of it's crusade for Peace, Unity and Prosperity in Nigeria.

The leader of the delegation Mallam Abdurahman Kirfi who led the team while briefing journalist shortly after the visit said ,the purpose of the visit is to seek fatherly as well as spiritual advise from the scholar who has been for long given contributions in the upliftment of Islamic knowledge in Bauchi State and the country in general.

Mallam Kirfi described Sheikh Duguri as a leading Islamic Cleric/Schooler,Peace builder and a philanthropist who's activities has changed the fortunes of many in the country. This is a man who have for long through his knowledge of Islam keep propagating the tenets of the prophet Muhammad S.A.W that always center on peace building and unity of Nigeria as part of the exemplary Leadership exhibited by the Holy Prophet in his own time. He added.

Responding ,Sheirk Duguri commended the Organisation by expressing his satisfaction over this Appointment and promised to contribute immensely towards the actualisation of the Organisation's Core Objectives.Weare always happy to see our youths are thinking outside the box how to assist the Government in curtailing what he described the growing and deteriorating insecurity in the North where the youths are critical Stakeholders in ending conflicts.He further thanked the Organization for finding him worthy of this Great Responsibilitiy.

In a separate contribution, the leader of the delegation, Mallam Abdulrahaman Kirfi, Zonal Coordinator North East, Arewa Youth Advocate For Peace and Unity Initiative expressed confidence in the Leadership Qualities Of Sheikh Duguri and urged him to guide the Organisation in its quest for peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.We are looking up to you for guidance and advise which you always offered in ensuring a peaceful and United Nigeria especially now that that the North is under sieged by gang of criminals elements. He said.

In a concluding remarks, the Bauchi State Coordinator Arewa Youths Advocate For Peace and Unity Initiative, Mallam Bello Ahmad Rufa'i thanked the New Chairman Advisory Council, Sheikh Ibrahim Mohammed Duguri for accepting post despite his tight schedules and commitments.We must appreciate,on behalf of the National President Sani Danaudi Mohammed (SDM) and the National Executives for accepting to be our guidant and a father to all despite huge engagements and responsibilities.he said.

Highlights of the meeting was the presentation of the Organisation's Peace and Unity Placard, Closed Door Meeting and Prayer Session For Peace and Unity Of Nigeria.The newly appointed Chairman of the advisory council is currently a  Senior Special Adviser on Religious affairs to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Idris Maje Wase because of his vast experience in both Islamic knowledge and other field of human endavors.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
