Rt.Hon.Ukkasha call on FG and Niger State Government to Rescue the Kagara Abducted Students. From: Isaac John

The Speaker Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria Rt.Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama  has condenmed in strong terms the inversion attacked of Government Science Secondary School Kagara in Niger State by bandits on Tuesday night .

The Speaker was speaking today in Abuja at an event organised by Northern Youths for Peace (NYP) at Edidas Hotel Abuja where he spoke as a special guest of honour.He said ,the Government of Niger State and the Federal Government must urgently rescue the the children alive .

He said , the country particularly the North is under siege considering the frequent attack on the people of the North is a symbol that a country is gradually sliding to anarchy which the Youths must resist by taking action and getting involve through engagements and dialogue.

Rt.Hon.Rahama call for unity among the leaders of the North at this difficult time to confront this challenge head on. He described the incident as regrettable and unfortunate while praying for the safe return of these children unhurt while urging the Security to do the needful to bring the perpetrators to book.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
