The Speaker of Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria Rt. Hon.Ukkasha Hamza Rahama has commended the Senator Representing the good people of Bauchi Central Sen. Haliru Dauda Jika for distributing Christmas items to Christians ahead of Christmas celebrations.

The speaker made this commendation today at the distribution of the items in Bogoro ,Dass and Tafawa Balewa local governments of Bauchi where 20bags of Rice,  50 pieces of Rappers, 50 pieces of Shadda ,2 Yellow Jarcans of Palm oil and two Jargans yellow Groundnut oil was distributed to each of the local governments mentioned above.

The speaker said ,this is Someone who came outside his constituency for this gesture . The Senator who double as Chairman Senate Committee of Police affairs was a former member House of Representatives in the 8th National Assembly and former Speaker of Bauchi State House of Assembly during the administration of Mallam Isa Yuguda. 

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries,the Chairmen Christian Association of Nigeria of Dass and Bogoro Local Governments Rev. father Danbaba waziri and Rev.Father Vicent Baturesaid words cannot express how they feeled with this unexpected gesture from Senator Haliru Dauda Jika .We will continue to support and pray for his continue progress and success while in office at all times because these are kind of leaders we need not just in Bauchi Central but the State in General .

We are indeed calling on all our Representatives in the State Assembly and the national Assembly to emulate the gesture especially now that prices of food items has gone high in the markets .This is the kind of Representation we are clamouring for a long time and we are hoping that the good people of Bauchi State will continue to work and support their sons and daughters who shared the good traits of Rt. Haliru Dauda Jika who looks beyond ethnic, tribal ,religion and beyond Bauchi Central zone for this laudable initiatives . The speaker concluded.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
