APPOINTMENT OF PROF. A. T MORA IS TIMELY ; RT. HON. OKKASHA HAMZA RAHAMA

The leadership of Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria under the Speakership of Rt.Hon Ukkasha Hamza Rahama GCNY has joined other well meaning  Nigerians in congratulating  the newly appointed chairman of the governing Council of the pharmacists council of Nigeria Professor A. T Mora. 

Rt. Hon Ukkasha disclosed this in a media briefing  in Abuja the nation capital today. He said going by the educational background of the new appointed chairman, the council will witness developmental policies and reforms that strengthen the Pharmacist as a profession in Nigeria. As you can see, Professor A. T. Mora was born in the ancient city of Zaria ,he had his secondary education at the famous Barewa college and his B.sc in Pharmacy from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and MBA from the same university. 

The speaker expressed optimism that the council of pharmacists will be sharpen under the professional  leadership of Professor Mora who he described as one of the country's finest  policy markers as a member of NIPSS  Kuru in Plateau State. While celebrating the newly appointed chairman, the speaker called on him to be guided by his very rich CV both as a lecturer who taught in ABU Zaria and Kaduna  State University for years. I am very sure as a consultant his appointment will add value and above all his membership of numerous professional bodies such as National Institute for policy and strategic studies NIPSS Kuru and  Fellow of the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists (FWAPCPharm) will count in bringing more talents to move the council  forward. 

The national leadership of the Northern Assembly of Nigeria described Professor Mora as a season administrator, manager and professional researcher  both at home and abroad .As you can see, He has undertaken several Professional and Management programmes in various universities and institutes such as Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and Liverpool Hope University, Liverpool, UK and the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON).

He urge and call on Nigerians to pray for successful tenure of the accomplished Professor of pharmacist who also holds the title of (Wakilin Maganin Zazzau) of the Zazzau emirate due to his immense contributions in nation building and health sector in his home state of kaduna in particular.This is a man has travelled to various  countries of the world and he is celebrated all over the world for devoting himself to research and innovations that has today earned him good reputation in the eyes of world particularly the youths. 

The speaker further stressed the need for the members of council of pharmacists in Nigeria to give their new chairman support and cooperation towards restoring the lost glory of the council  also call on Nigerians to pray for Professor  Mora successful tenure of office. He said as a leader of one of the Northern  viable youths wing that mostly fashion out ways through sensitization will join hands with the leadership of the new chairman in making the North and by extension the country as a whole free of drug abuse.

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
