Sen.Gumau has finally spoken: Danaudi

Distinguished Senator Lawal Yahaya is viewed by many as one of the most experienced legislator in the Nigerian senate haven served as member Bauchi State House of Assembly , member federal house of Representatives for two consecutive times and two term senator of the federal Republic of Nigeria and the likely Governorship candidate in the 2023 most anticipated general elections. It is true that Bauchi State politics is one of the most complicated in the state and by extension in Nigeria due to unprescribed direction and shape it may likely take during elections . The none directional and unpredictable nature of the Bauchi political climate in Bauchi State has since sent credible minds to their early political retirement by ushering new credible and in competent hands to seat of power .

I am happy that those who called us names and those who accused us of been acting on the token of our paymasters as they claimed in their response articles will see now that we are vindicated . We are vindicated because since the senator surfaced on the internet it has become a topic of discussion but to me he has done what we have been asking him to do long before now . You should know that with this outing of the senator ,we are even more of his clients who summon the courage to ask and demand for leadership than those of you sit on fence misleading and supporting him even when he is running in a wrong angle.

I personally wrote an article titled " The silence of Sen. Gumau ,A wake up call for Bauchi South Electorates " which was published by an online news paper Wikkitimes on January 1st ,2020 and the said article seen by many as an attacked on the personality of the Senator rather than a wake up call like the piece potrayed . Many including the media team of the distinguished Senator labeled me as someone who seeks attention and a frustrated loyalist of the present Chief of staff Bauchi State Government house . I never write to seek attention of anyone but rather to speak the mind of an ordinary people whom I interact with on daily basis been one of them . I am one that many destiny has favour at tender age and those who think our title of been comrade is comparisesd should think again as battling for the survival of the nation is our first priority .

What has dominated the political climate of Bauchi State particularly Bauchi south is the inability of Senator Lawal Yahaya Gumau to speak on the floor of the red chamber since he was elected in August 2018 and subsequently in 2019 which has given him all the needed requirement to fuse into Nigerian complicated legislative agenda . Finally , Senator has spoken for the good of Bauchi south though many are of the opinion that they need the compressive video to hear themselves what the presentation was all about but on my perception is that I have won because my senator has finally spoken . The efficacy of the Nigerian politics has given birth to so many misconceptions to the extend that hardly people can distinguish between critics and those who constantly remind govenment and our political leaders their responsibilities .

I was mistakenly classified as one the critics of the Senator instead of the progressive and patriotic Nigerian who has once spoke for the thousands who lined up to vote for these servants who has now turned politicians that has forgotten what is their responsibility . I don't write to get paid by anyone neither to I write to tarnish the image of anyone as my readers who misunderstood me. I so certain my phone will begin to ring a thousands times a day now just admitting that the senator whom we classified as the most silent one has finally open up to equally silent those until labeled him as such .

Is Lawal Yahaya meeting to our expectations?

This question is very important and necessary to help us fashion out ways on how we can salvage this zone from falling a victim of politicians who care only for stomach infrastructures instead coming up with genuine policies and programs that are practicable and are sustainable . Programs like payments of Scholarships for Msc students up to PhD level , encouragement of science oriented courses like nursing ,mbbs , Engineering,ICT and others to build a stronger society that will produce youths that are productive not redundant youths who later becomes a treat and nuisance to the society . Politics of rewarding youths with Bajaj and cars they cannot maintain is not the best for our future because our youths need to empower while the numerous graduates in Bauchi South need employment to forge ahead . The answer to the above question will definitely be no as the greater percentage of those who voted for him can read or watch from a distance via media platforms what he has achieve .

On a personal note ,Sen. Lawal Yahaya Gumau has only 0.2% shared of the failure of Bauchi south and Toro local government in particular for decades because it seems as electorates and youths we respect money politics more than politics of ideology, principles and philosophy . Lawal Yahaya Gumau is not our problem at the moment but we are the problem of ourselves because it is expected that when you call one attention for his inability to do thr right thing and when he does then you need to acknowledge except for personal acquaintance .

 I write to acknowledge that he has taken the big challenge from been a silent senator to deliver on his mandate on the numerous expectations of the good people of Bauchi South especially now that it is becoming more clear he may likely log head with his fellow counterpart from Bauchi central Senator Haliru Dauda Jika .

My thoughts and prayers is that we continue to witness more developmental changes in the nearest future more than the previous ones .
