Bashir Yakubu is the chief of staff to the Emir of Bauchi Alh. (Dr) Rilwanu Suleimanu Adamu and a decesdant of Late Sarkin of Bauchi . Lame a closed associate of the member federal house of Representatives Yakubu Shehu Abdullahi who also holds the title of Wakilin Birnin Bauchi said horse riding remains one of the great pillars that keep the culture of the North ancient Emirates dated back to days of caliphate alive where Bauchi Emirate is not an exception .

He added that every weekend mostly Sundays you will sight us ridding horses in the Bauchi metropolis to showcase our rich culture that has been existence for years and he said horse ridding is one his hobby even when he was young . You know I grew up in the palace because my late grand father was a title holder in the Bauchi Emirate and the precious time we spent with him thought us many lessons on how to protect our rich cultural heritage

Comr. Auwal Suspended from office as National President,Yobe State Students.

The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) has announced the suspension of its national President Comr. Auwal Gambo Salisu with immediate effect due alleged blackmail, bribery, corruption and money laundering. In a letter signed by the Rt. Hon. Abdulaziz Maina Isa , the speaker of the Yobe State Students Representatives Assembly and the clerk of the Assembly Comrade Yusuf Lusa (CP) and made available to newsmen in Damaturu. The suspension has the endorsement of the two third majority of the members of the Students Representatives Assembly, National Union of Yobe State Students NUYOSS. By: John Ephraim The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal holding at Bauchi in the matter of rerun election into the office of senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Plateau North Senatorial District held on 3rd February, 2024 on Friday, reserved judgement in the petition filed by Yakub Muhammad Shafiu and his NNPP against INEC, Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom, ADP. Yakubu H. Ruba SAN Lead Counsel for the Petitioners The Petitioners approached the tribunal challenging the declaration of Dachungyang Pam Mwadtkom or 2nd Respondent by INEC (1st Respondent) as the winner of the rerun election. The main ground upon which the petition is predicated is that the 2nd Respondent as of the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the election having allegedly presented a forged certificate to 1st Respondent (INEC). The Petitioners are alleging that the 2nd Respondent in Form EC9 deposed that he obtained FSLC in 1975 and SSCE in 1982.
